Appearance:
Lucy is young, in her prime - or at least, she would be in her prime were she from any time other than the Victorian era. She's just into her twenties, already married and already a mother. She is a beautiful woman, with curly golden-blonde hair and expressive gray eyes. She has a beautiful smile, and everything in the world to smile about. When she arrives at Econtra, she is dressed in a pale peach Victorian-style gown, with a matching hat and shawl.

Personality:
Lucy is sweet and innocent, perhaps a little naïve. She trusts people to be good and kind, as she herself is kind. She has not seen nor experienced the evils that people are capable of. She is a gentle woman, the sort that would nurse a baby bird back to health if it had fallen from its nest. To see someone willingly and readily harm someone else would distress her; to see someone take delight in doing so would horrify her, and likely send her running to the victim's defense, regardless of whether or not the victim deserved defending, despite her Victorian upbringing. She is a Victorian woman through and through, raised to be quiet, demure, and polite, and to respect those in a position above her, whether they be authority figures or those of a higher class. She rarely, if ever, speaks before she is spoken to. Her main concern is how to escape Econtra, because she has left her husband and daughter behind.

Abilities/Strengths:
Lucy's greatest strength is her compassion; she is loving and kind, without a harsh word for anyone. If she were the sort to use her beauty to her advantage, then her looks might be a strength as well, although she would never consciously use her beauty as a weapon.

Weaknesses:
Lucy's greatest strength is also her greatest weakness. Because she is so trusting, she is naïve. Her naivety is likely to get her into trouble, or to get her into situations that may become troublesome. She is a young woman, and therefore not endowed with great physical strength; it would not be difficult to overpower her.

Notable Possessions:
Lucy has a locket given to her by Benjamin and her daughter's doll. The locket never leaves her neck and the doll stays in her room.

History:
Lucy Barker was a woman from the working class, neither extraordinarily rich, nor extraordinarily poor. Her beauty was a gift; she could have had any man she wanted, had she been inclined to that way of thinking, and indeed many men did offer her their attentions. When she was eighteen, and very near past the age by which she ought to be married, she was approached by the apprentice of a barber, a young man by the name of Benjamin Barker. He was handsome, and sweet, and being an apprentice, was well on his way toward having a steady vocation. Lucy's parents approved of their courtship, and a little less than a year later the two were married.

By this time, her husband had a business of his own, a barber shop located on Fleet Street. The two were happy; they were some of the lucky few who had been allowed to marry for love, and the dowry from Lucy's father was more than enough to set them up comfortably with a small home of their own. Benjamin's shop was located just above their living space, and Lucy would often sit with him and read to him when he had no customers.

By the time she was twenty, she and Benjamin had a daughter, who they named Johanna. She took after her mother, inheriting her blonde hair and grey eyes. Lucy was incredibly happy to have such a lovely daughter, and she and Benjamin doted on the girl. The couple had everything they could ever ask for in life.

Sadly, it was not to last, for Lucy was dragged into Econtra one morning as they walked through the market. She was taken mere minutes before Benjamin would have been dragged away by Judge Turpin. The event upset the Judge's plans to wrongfully imprison Benjamin, and thus if Lucy ever manages to return to London, she will find her husband and daughter waiting for her.
